Ledger, 1933-1937

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 3

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection consists of early records, a history, and advertising blotters from the Missouri Envelope Company dating from 1933 to approximately 2013. The folders are arranged alphabetically. The earliest items are a one-page photocopy of Washington University’s 1932 commencement program, a financial ledger dating from 1933 to 1937, and the certificate of authority to commence business dated November 1934. Presumably, Armand C. Hoffstetter wrote the company history, which covers the founding of the company through its sale to Ambassador. There are three advertising blotters, one of which has an image of the company’s headquarters at 5211 Northrup Avenue, which it occupied from 1950 to 1968.
