Letter signed J. Weydemeyer, Lt. Col. Comd. Post, Military Post, Salem, Mo., to Col. Henry Almstedt. To my great astonishment I was informed that, while I am yet Commander of this Post, Col. Glover, Comdg. the Rolla Dist., sent order to Col. Bailey to take statements and testimony regarding transactions of our Post Quartermaster. I am seeking removal from this command. I wish you would assist me., 1862 Oct 3
