Letter signed Jno. G. Shultz, Iatan, to Major Dougherty. This letter introduces to you George Barnett. He is just the man for Samuels to place in charge of a store at Iatan. We are very anxious to have the store here and everything you can do to help will be appreciated. Bad luck seems to follow me as one of my negroes died recently. I hope to be down to see you but do not wait on my account as my coming is too uncertain. Individuals mentioned: Geo. Garnett, John Triplett. Businesses mentioned: Triplett McFadin & Co. Places mentioned: St. Louis and Kentucky., 1853 Nov 16
