Typescript reminiscences titled "History of the Missouri Naval Militia," written by an unidentified author after 1922. Describes the organization of the naval militia circa 1900. Includes an account of piloting the U.S.S. Huntress from Pensacola, Florida, to St. Louis in 1905. (The Navy Department had turned over the Huntress to the naval militia.) Also includes an account of the naval militia taking over the U.S.S. Amphitrite at New Orleans circa 1911. After the Amphitrite broke down at Memphis, the Navy Department gave the militia the U.S.S. Isla de Luzon. Reminiscences mention Harvey Toomb, Charles Maguire, Eugene Reed, Commander W.F. Roberts, H. Hunicke, A.H. Timmerman, A.P. Timmerman, Tom Johnson, G.F. Schwartz, Francis Montgomery, H.P. Wells, Andre Roosevelt, and James Muir. (14 pages), No date
