Letter signed T.K. Skinker to wife. Ramble with Charlie. We rode 25 miles on electric cars, and walked 11 miles. Our route was to Creve Coeur Lake via the Midland railway, and from the lake southward across the country to Olive Street and further south still to the Conway road, and then eastward to the Clayton electric line at the Log Cabin Club. The Marshes came back to town on Thursday. McBlair is established at his new hom, 4375 Washington Ave., 1902 Aug 31
Scope and Contents
The collection consists primarily of Skinker family correspondence, the bulk of which is between Thomas K. Skinker and his wife, Bertha Rives Skinker. The collection also contains several folders of tax receipts of Thomas Skinker dated 1839-1886. This finding aid was compiled by keying in the document descriptions on the folder covers. These document descriptions were presumably written by a Missouri Historical Society archivist soon after the collection was purchased in 1978.
