Letter signed T.K. Skinker to wife. Susie and I spent this afternoon examining houses. The people were sitting out in the front yards, so that I could see who our neighbors would be. I therefore do not stop to describe West Belle, Nos. 4161 and 4175 [4161 West Belle and 4175 West Belle]. If you leave it to me, I will take a lease on the Robertson house., 1901 Aug 25

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection consists primarily of Skinker family correspondence, the bulk of which is between Thomas K. Skinker and his wife, Bertha Rives Skinker. The collection also contains several folders of tax receipts of Thomas Skinker dated 1839-1886. This finding aid was compiled by keying in the document descriptions on the folder covers. These document descriptions were presumably written by a Missouri Historical Society archivist soon after the collection was purchased in 1978.
