The “Identification” page at the beginning of this diary provides Elizabeth’s contact information. It lists her address as 15201 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63017 and her telephone number as 532-4857. The diary starts on December 29, 1975, when Elizabeth leaves for Disneyland and visits with Bun. Elizabeth also visits San Francisco, Stanford, Sea World, and San Diego. She returns to Friendship Village on January 28. On February 25, Elizabeth writes that Bun wants her VW and on March 4 she starts making preparations for its shipment. She also buys a yellow rabbit that day. She starts working in a library in the spring (April 19) and takes yoga classes. She visits Betts and Jim at the end of June. Elizabeth goes to the Muny’s production of Fiddler on the Roof on July 8. She later travels to Philadelphia on October 28 and while there learns that Carter has won the election. Elizabeth visits Annapolis, Maryland, and tours the United States Naval Academy on November 4, and then goes on to Baltimore before returning home on the 6th. She leaves again on December 13 for a trip to Hawaii. Her diary ends with a day at the beach in Waimea., 1976

The collection contains 14 diaries written by Elizabeth Nulsen Young. The diaries cover the years 1917 to 1976 and briefly list her day-to-day activities. Each diary includes five years, with the exception of one travel diary of a trip to Europe in 1956 and the last diary (1976), which only contains one calendar year.
