There is a tornado on January 24, 1967. Elizabeth travels down to the Southwest and Mexico in late January for bridge. She goes sightseeing and horseback riding and returns in early March. On March 18, she “Made plans for meeting to get Lafayette Sq. [Lafayette Square] going.” In late March, she takes a trip to Atlanta to visit family and play bridge. Bun gets a job at Woolworth’s. Elizabeth sells her VW for $875. On September 28, Elizabeth leaves for Canada and travels through Minnesota. She visits Montreal and Toronto and returns on October 15. She visits with family in December for Christmas., 1967

The collection contains 14 diaries written by Elizabeth Nulsen Young. The diaries cover the years 1917 to 1976 and briefly list her day-to-day activities. Each diary includes five years, with the exception of one travel diary of a trip to Europe in 1956 and the last diary (1976), which only contains one calendar year.
