On October 18, 1962, Elizabeth visits Spring Mill State Park. The next day, she leaves for Nashville and returns on October 20. Elizabeth works on the GOP [Republican party] campaign. On December 10, 1962, Bun is fired from her job and Mr. Bat suggests a boarding school. On December 13, Elizabeth goes to Milwaukee Downer School for Bun but is rejected. On December 20, she visits family in Greenville by plane and spends the holidays with family. She leaves January 5, 1963., 1962

The collection contains 14 diaries written by Elizabeth Nulsen Young. The diaries cover the years 1917 to 1976 and briefly list her day-to-day activities. Each diary includes five years, with the exception of one travel diary of a trip to Europe in 1956 and the last diary (1976), which only contains one calendar year.
