Entry dated St. Louis, October 28, 1864, reads “Received of Enos Jennings one thousand dollars to be laid out in vegetables for use of ‘Everett House,’” signed I.B. Gildersleeve. Entry dated Davenport, November 8, 1864 reads “Paid R.M. Prettyman one thousand and forty four dollars and sixteen cents for potatoes,” signed I.B. Gildersleeve. (27 pages), ca. 1862-1864
