Letter signed C.C. Augur [Christopher C. Augur?], Camp at Sabinito, to Capt. P. Morrison [Capt. Pitcairn Morrison], 4th Regiment Infantry, St. Louis or Jefferson Barracks, Mo. States his regret that Morrison had not yet received the repayment of a loan that Augur sent to him. Mentions that he [Augur] has been appointed acting assistant adjutant general to General Cushing and that he will soon be going to Vera Cruz. Mentions Dr. Wheaton., 1847 Sept 20
