Letter signed William [Claghorn] to Wife [Emma]. The more I go west the more I am surprised at the eastern views of the western country. Temperance has made great alteration in the minds of the people. I have scarcely seen a drop of liquor. Gambling is the same way. There are about 200 Dutch emigrating on account of their religion.
