Biography
Thomas Allen (1813-1882) worked as a lawyer and newspaper publisher in New York City and Washington, D. C. In 1842, he moved to St. Louis, where he married Ann Russell. He became president of several railroads, including the Pacific Railroad and Iron Mountain Railroad, and served in the Missouri Senate (1850-1854).
